THOMAS, VI 00802-6722 • (340) 774-0930 3012 GOLDEN ROCK • CHRISTIANSTED, VI 00802 • (340) 718-2980 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: OCTOBER 6, 2023 Department of Human Services - St. Thomas and St. Croix Medicaid Eligibility Units Temporarily Closed on Thursdays U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The Virgin Islands Department of Human Services (VIDHS) today announced that their Medicaid Eligibility units on St. Thomas and St. Croix will be closed on the next 4 Thursdays to provide for Workforce Development and Training to the full staff of Medicaid Eligibility workers. The St. Thomas Eligibility Unit at the Knud Hansen Complex and the St. Croix Eligibility Unit at the Mars Hill Location will be closed all day on Thursday October 12, Thursday October 19, Thursday October 26, and Thursday November 2, 2023, to allow the DHS Medicaid Eligibility staff to participate in training and professional development activities. Applicants can still visit each office and drop applications and recertification forms in the drop boxes when the offices are closed.
