ACT NO.6636 BILL NO. 25-0063 TWENTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNIT=D STATES Regular Session 2003 To establish an amnesty program under the Unemployment Insurance Program of the Department of Labor ---(--- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the Department of Labor, through the Commissioner of Labor, shall institute a 90-day amnesty period for the payment of penalty and interest owed pursuant to title 24, section 313(b)(2), Virgin Islands Code. The amnesty period shall take effect within 30 days after the effective date of this Act. All outstanding contributions and payments in lieu of contributions shall be paid in full or under an installment plan in compliance with 24 VIRR Section 307-42. The Commissioner shall also have discretion to further extend the payment period or reduce the down payment in specific cases, for good cause shown. …
