ACTNO. 8538 BILL NO. 34-0173 THIRTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2021 An Act amending Act No. 8479 to adjust the Fiscal Year 2022 budget for the University of the Virgin Islands and to make an appropriation of $280,660 for employment tax on the restoration of 8% of salaries owed to the employees of the University of the Virgin Islands; amending the Virgin Islands Code, title 17, chapter 9, section 305d relating to a five-year moratorium on issuing business licenses for gasoline stations to make the moratorium inapplicable to gasoline stations previously issued a construction the effective date of section 305d; and amending Act No.8442 relating to a five-year moratorium on the issuance of permits for the construction of gasoline stations to make the moratorium inapplicable to and prohibiting the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs or other licensing or permit issuing agency from denying a license for gasoline stations issued a permit before the enactment of Act No. 8442 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1.
