MT NO. 6699 BILL NO. 25-0219 TWENTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2004 To amend title 5 Virgin Islands Code, to add a new subchapter II to give peace officers the authority to issue appearance tickets _ for misdemeanor. offenses attempted or committed in their presence and to re-designate the current subchapter II as subchapter III ---0--- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 5 Virgin Islands Code is amended to add a new subchapter II to read: “Subchapter II- Appearance Tickets § 3570 Appearance Ticket; definition, form and content. An appearance ticket is a written notice issued and subscribed by a peace officer authorized to issue an appearance ticket, directing a designated person to appear in the Territorial Court of the Virgin Islands at a future date in connection with his alleged commission of a misdemeanor offense. …
