ACTNO. 7520 BILL NO. 30-0162 THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2013 An Act to posthumously honor and commend Sidney Lee and to name Route 80 the “Sidney Lee Road”, on the Island of St. Croix ---0--- WHEREAS, Sidney Lee attended Winona Military Academy, where he graduated first in his high school class; and WHEREAS, Sidney Lee subsequently graduated first in his class from the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in Chemical Engineering; and WHEREAS, while pursuing his doctoral degree at Cornell University, Mr. Lee was commandeered to leave school to help with the war effort by doing research on jet fuel; and WHEREAS, after the war, Mr. Lee became involved in business in Texas and in the Virgin Islands while at the same time serving as president of a consulting laboratory which served as the crime lab for the City of Dallas and testified in hundreds of cases; and WHEREAS, Mr. …
