® P Publication. T is hereby made knowo, that whereas l the following Member of the Colonial Council elected by the Voters of Fred- eriksted Country District, viz: 2nd Mem- ber G. NORDBY, has recently become disqualified to sit in «aid Counecil and hold said office, because of the passage ny Congress of an Act which was ap- proved on July 12, 1921. it is resolved, by virtue of paragraph 34, Section 3, of the Colonial Law, that a special election of a Member to the Council in lieu of the said gentleman, shall take place in the Courthouse in Fredeviksted on THURSDAY THE 25tH DAY OF AU- GUST 1921. The polling will commence at 1 o’clock p. m. and in accordance with Paragraph 30 of the Colonial Law, will close at 4 p. m. at the earliest. At the election no one can be consid- ered unless he has announced himself as a candidate, or has been so announced by one of the electors of the Electoral District. The announcement of candi- dature shall either be made in writing, or by personal attendance of the an- nouncer before the Electoral Board. The written announcement signed by the annouuncer (announcers) must be sent to the undersigned Chairman at his official office not later than 4 o’clock p. m. on the 21sT DAY OF AUGUST 1921, and for receiving announcements made personally, the Electoral Board will meet at the place where the election is to be held at 8 o’clock p. m. on MON- DAY THE 228 D DAY OF AUGUST 1921.
