Richards, by Request of the Governor BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has invited the Government of the Virgin Islands to apply for $2,194,000 from the HUD Secretary’s 2000 Discretionary Fund; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to reprogram a total of $262,941.91 from the 1992, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 Community Development Block Grants which were NO OAQN = previously approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and m © © ie) WHEREAS, Virgin Islands law (3 VIC 67) requires the Legislature to approve e- participation in federally funded programs such as the Community Development Block Grant Program; Now Therefore, SECTION 1. Pursuant to Title 3, chapter 5, section 67, Virgin Islands Code, the Legislature hereby approves those Community Development projects enumerated in APPENDIX A & B, which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof.
