LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS CERTIFICATE OF ENACTMENT NOTWITHSTANDING THE GOVERNOR’S VETO THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT an Act amending title 17, chapter 15, of the Virgin Islands Code establishing the Emergency Management Scholarship Fund and creating an annual scholarship for Virgin Islands students studying emergency management, enacted by the Thirtieth Legislature at its regular session held on June 18 and 19, 2014, (a copy of which is attached hereto) and vetoed by the Governor on July 11, 2014, was enacted due to the Goveror’s failure to return this Bill within the time prescribed in section 9(d) of the Revised Organic Act of the Virgin Islands, 48 U.S.C. §1575 (d), notwithstanding the Governor’s veto and So __ Shawn-Michael Malone President has become law.
