AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES THIS AMENDMENT made this DY day of Pe ___, 2017 in the Territory of the U.S. Virgin Islands by and between the Government of the Virgin Islands, DEPARTMENT OF PROPERTY AND PROCUREMENT, on behalf of the DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, 1834 Kongens Gade, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands 00802-6746 (hereinafter referred to as “Government” or “VIDE”), and DEBORAH HARRIS, INC., 3491 Nesbit Road, Fayetteville, NC 28311 (hereinafter referred to as “Contractor”). AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES THIS AMENDMENT made this DY day of Pe ___, 2017 in the Territory of the U.S. Virgin Islands by and between the Government of the Virgin Islands, DEPARTMENT OF PROPERTY AND PROCUREMENT, on behalf of the DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, 1834 Kongens Gade, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands 00802-6746 (hereinafter referred to as “Government” or “VIDE”), and DEBORAH HARRIS, INC., 3491 Nesbit Road, Fayetteville, NC 28311 (hereinafter referred to as “Contractor”). WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, on July 24, 2015, the Parties entered into a Contract of Professional Services No. PC068DOEI15 wherein the Contractor developed and executed an improvement plan to improve teacher and instructional leader effectiveness by providing technical assistance and leadership strategies through coaching and mentoring administrators, provided job embedded support through modeling and coaching for teachers with a focus on the Common Core State Standards (“CCSS”); and provided professional services to St. Croix Educational Complex (“SCEC”) with a focus on improving school culture and climate, improving teacher and instructional leader effectiveness, and improving student achievement; and WHEREAS, the Contractor was unable to provide services described under PCO68DOE15 during the term July 24, 2015 thru July 23, 2016 due to the unavailability of approved Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2014 and 2015 carry over funding; and WHEREAS, in May 2016, FFY 2014 and 2015 carryover funds were approved and became available; and WHEREAS on July 24, 2016, the Parties exercised Renewal Option P061DOET16 to extend the Contract term for one (1) additional year allowing the VIDE to commence and complete the services described in the Contract; and WHEREAS, the Contract expires on July 23, 2017; and WHEREAS, the Government wishes to amend the Contract to provide fifteen (15) additional days of job embedded professional development and technical assistance services at the St. Croix Educational Complex; and WHEREAS, the parties desire to extend the term of the Contract to terminate on September 30, 2017; and WHEREAS, the additional services shall require an increase compensation of Fifty One Thousand, Two Hundred Twenty Two Dollars and Zero Cents ($51,222.00), thus increasing the contract’s total compensation to One Hundred Thirty Eight Thousand, Seven Hundred Twenty Two Dollars and Zero Cents ($138,722.00); and 1 Contractor's Initials Contre Q595 D 0 E T] 7 Amends P061DOET16 Renews PCO68DOETI15 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties intending to be legally bound have hereunto set their hands on the day and year first above written.
