Based on the information provided, VISHPO has no objection to the project proceeding as planned. Although no known archaeological or historic resources have been identified on the site, subsurface conditions remain unknown. Therefore, in the event that any archaeological materials, historic features, or human remains are encountered during ground-disturbing activities, the applicant must immediately notify VISHPO and the Division of Coastal Zone Management (CZM) by telephone and email. Failure to report such discoveries, or any intentional concealment or disturbance of cultural resources, may result in civil and/or criminal penalties under applicable territorial and federal laws.
