ACT NO, 7580 —— “BILL NO. 30-0318 THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS a Regular Session 2014 An Act amending title 3 Virgin Islands Code, chapters 27 and 28A as it relates to refunds owed to retirees of the Government Employees Retirement System, and providing for the refund plus interest of contributions deducted from retroactive wages paid to retirees pursuant to Act No. 6984 ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 3 Virgin Islands Code, Chapter 27 is amended by adding a new section 718b, renumbering the remaining sections accordingly, to read as follows: “§718b. A retiree who is paid retroactive wages is not subject to payment of any contribution to the System from such retroactive wages. The System shall refund to the retiree any such contribution withheld from the payment of the retroactive wages.” SECTION 2. Title 3 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 28A is amended by adding a new section 767b, and renumbering the remaining sections accordingly, to read as follows: “§767b. …
