ACT NO.65% 1 BILL NO. 24-0307 TWENTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2002 To provide for appropriations and for other purposes --0--- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. The sum of $300,000 is appropriated from the General Fund in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2003, as a grant to the Virgin Islands Music Festival, LLC to produce a music festival on St. Thomas scheduled for July 11-13, 2003. SECTION 2. The sum of $213,179 is appropriated from the General Fund in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2003, to the Office of the Supervisor of Elections to defray costs associated with the 2002 Primary and Gencral Elections. SECTION 3. The sum of $600,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Fund in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2003, to the Virgin Islands Police Department to defray costs associated with hiring police officers employed with the Virgin Housing Authority’s soon-to-be-disbanded police force.
