It does secin very strapge that we know the price that sugar is selling at in Qt. Croix from the factoriess but we see no mention whatever of the price paid or being paid for ¢ nes delivered. This is very sirange. Why was it that we never saw (as was always the custom) that the scales would be tested at such a day and hour? _ We ualso see the price of sugar in the New York market, but it is a big differ- cnee to our local price.
