ACTNO, 7485 BILL NO. 30-0082 THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2013 An Act amending title 8 Virgin Islands Code adding chapter 4 relating to liability for injury or damage resulting from intoxication ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 8 Virgin Islands Code is amended by adding chapter 4 to read as follows: “CHAPTER 4 GENERAL REGULATION OFALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES §161. A person who sells or furnishes alcoholic beverages to a person of lawful drinking age does not thereby become liable for injury or damage caused by or resulting from the intoxication of such person, However, a person who willfully and unlawfully sells or furnishes alcoholic beverages to a person who is not of lawful drinking age, or who knowingly serves a person habitually addicted to the use of any or all alcoholic beverages may become liable for injury or damage caused by or resulting from the intoxication of such minor or person.” Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on April 16, 2013. …
