Publicaty üblication. T is hereby made known, that whereas l the following Member of the Colomal Council elected by the Voters of Fred- eriksted Country District, viz: 2nd Me - ber G. NORDBY, has recently become disqualified to sit in =aid Council and hold said office. because of the passage v Congress of an Act which was ap- proved on July 12, 1921. it is resolved, by virtue of paragraph 34, Section 3, of the Colonial Law, that a special election of a Member tothe Council in lieu of the said gentleman, shall take place in the Courthouse in Frederiksted on THURSDAY THE 25t DAY OF AU- GUST 1921. The polling will commence at 1 o’clock p. m. and in accordance with Paragraph 30 of the Colonial Law, will close at 4 p. m. at the earliest. At the election no cne can be consid- ered unless he has announced himself as a candidate, or has been 80 announced by one of the electors of the Eiectoral District. 'The announcement of candi dature shall either be made in writing, or by personal attendance of the an- nouncer before the Kiectora! Board. Thg written announcement signed by the. announcer (announcers) must be sent to the undersigned Chairman at his ufficial office not !ater than 4 o’clock p. m. on the 218 T DAY OF AUGUST 1921, and for receiving announcements made personally, the Electoral Board will meet at the place where the alec:ion is to be held at 3 o’clock p. m. on MON- DAY THE 228 D DAY OF AUGUST 1921.
