ACTNO, 7622 BILL NO. 30-0258 THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2014 An Act amending Act No. 7472 (Bill No. 30-0038) by adding a provision to include chemical changes to controlled substances in the list of controlled substances ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Act No. 7472 (Bill No. 30-0038) is amended in Section 2 by adding a new subsection (i) to read as follows: “(i) In section 595 by adding a new subsection (e) to read as follows: ‘(e) Any drug not listed in this section which is privately compounded, with specific intent to circumvent the criminal penalties for synthetic cannabinoids or other substances banned in this section, to emulate or simulate the effects of synthetic cannabinoids or other substances banned in this section through chemical changes such as the addition, subtraction or rearranging of radical or the addition, subtraction or rearranging of a substituent, shall be subject to the same criminal penalties as for synthetic cannabinoids or other substances banned in this section.” Thus passed by the …
