ACT WO, 7316 BILL NO. 29-0208 Twenty-Ninth Legislature Of The Virgin Islands Regular Session 2011 An Act providing appropriations for operating expenses of the Supreme Court of the Virgin Islands, the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands, the Judicial Council and the Office of the Public Defender ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. The sum of $5,820,571 is appropriated from the General Fund of the Treasury of the Virgin Islands in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2012, to the Supreme Court of the Virgin Islands for operating expenses. SECTION 2. (a) The sum of $21,135,210 is appropriated from the General Fund of the Treasury of the Virgin Islands in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2012, to the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands for operating expenses. (b) Of the sum appropriated in subsection (a), the sum of $700,000 must be used to compensate court-appointed attorneys at a rate not less than $75 per hour for in and out of court representation.
