We have passed over a lot of this faise representation of facts on this subject because Jocally no one pays any attention to them being able to discount them on the spot. Indeed we have marvelied at the nerve these propazandisws dis- play and have not thought it worth while to challenge them. For read- ers abroad, however, this may noct be the wisest policy, and we underiske to refute that statement of the Herald as being exactly the opposite of fact. Who are all the heads in America? and pray who or where are they in St. Croix? Does the Herald mean the officials of the local government, heads of departments or who? We feel that we understandthe situation right when we say that apart from a dozen or so of peoplc to whow a portion of the wress of the island 13 available, everybody is against the civil oovernment schome because they reaiiz2 now impossible conditions would be herve if Senate Bill 2736 be put into eifect, Again on the Lith the Herald editoraly asserts that “‘uneasiness has spread its wings hike a pall over the communiiy, Very few people we m et in the streets grect us with the same lively greetings, All on aceount of the uncvrtainty ol the change in th» form of government.” This is sheer bunk intended to feed the fires in Harlem and we are astonished at the Herald handinz out such stuft. Let’s have ‘‘clean fight’'if any.
