Question: The KMZ file has a total path length of approximately 21.5 miles, however the RFP calls for a much larger length of ductbank. 10,962 ft 6-6”C Ductbank Danoe Rd Main-line (2.07 miles) 8,000 ft 3-4”C Ductbank Danoe Rd Secondary (1.52 miles) 112,368 ft 2-4”C Ductbank Community Take-off (21.3 miles) 196,626 ft 2-4”C Ductbank Community Secondary (37.24 miles) Are there paths not shown on the KMZ file we should be aware of? Also, KMZ file does not show separate main-line and secondary ductbanks along Danoe Rd., is the RFP correct? Lastly, we understand lighting is required for the main Danoe Bypass roadway, however is it required for the Anna’s and Tutu neighborhoods where we are undergrounding the secondary and take-off lines? When walking the Northside Hwy neighborhoods the light poles seem to mostly be mounted on utility poles. Unfortunately google does not allow us to walk the Danoe Bypass project area. However, if this is also the case and we remove these poles, we remove the lighting. Are we expected to provide a new lighting system in the neighborhoods as well, or should we assume the poles will remain to keep the lighting while the O/H power cables are removed? Response: The kmz file depicts the limits of the underground electrical distribution. The configuration and number of conduits may vary along the paths shown in the kmz files. Some paths including lateral takeoff trench or trench from the transformer to manhole may not be shown in the kmz files. The written description of quantities provided in the scope represents an estimated quantity of conduit and materials required for preliminary budgeting purposes. The determination of actual final quantities will be the responsibility of the consultant. A new lighting design for the adjacent neighborhoods is not included in the scope. Assume the existing lighting to remain. USVI Department of Public Works August 17, 2020 2. Question: We would like to request that the due date for submission of proposal be extended by one additional week. Response: DPW grants the request to extend the due date of proposals by one additional week.
