Francis, Jr. and Marvin A. Blyden by Request of the Governor Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 1 SECTION 1. (a) The sum of $1,434,950 is appropriated in the fiscal year ending 2 September 30, 2024, from the Community Facilities Trust Fund to the Virgin Islands Port 3 Authority to finance pre-construction soft cost funding to prepare the Charlotte Amalie harbor 4 for dredging. 5 (b) The sum appropriated in subsection (a) remains available until expended. 6 SECTION 2. Not later than 30 days after the enactment of this act, the Virgin Islands 7 Port Authority shall provide to the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 8 A. (1) project timelines that include a schedule of completion of the pre-dredging 9 activities for Charlotte Amalie Harbor; 10 B. (2) a project budget that indicates use of all available and appropriated 11 funding for the project, not to exceed the budget amount; and 12 2 C. (3) a bi-monthly project report that includes staffing reports, accounting 1 records and updated photos. 2 BILL SUMMARY 3 The bill appropriates $1,434,950 in fiscal year 2024 ending September 30, 2024, from 4 the Community Facilities Trust Fund for the pre-construction soft funding to prepare the 5 Charlotte Amalie harbor for dredging.
