One hurdred bags mail for Christiansted, and some cargo and pas- sengers were put off at this port. The S, S. ‘‘Parima’® from the Islands called at Frederiksted yesterday and sail- ed for New York via St. Thomas shortly after. The S. S. ‘*Bolivar’’ofthe Raporel Line arrived at Frederikst 1 yesterday and discharged the Chrisuansted cargo also at that end owing to her being so deeply laden that she could not-enter this port, it is understood. Tonight the new serial ‘ln the Dra- gons Net’’featuring Marie Waleamp, the famous screen actor, will be opened at the Christiansted Theatre. It is - .cuty certain that this film will be g iess in- teresting and attractive than its numer- ous predecessors seen at this popular place of amusement, and readers are re- ferred to the programme in this issue for further idea of this great production, There will be a movie shdlw also at St. Mary’s Hall this evening,\ the film to be presented beinz ‘‘Tropic® Lova,” a cownplete drama which comes highly recommended. All the acts ir' this film were staged in the neighboring island of Porto Rico and hence it is a tropical pro- duction. In our opinion one could have been placzd on the western side for the accommodation of the patrons on that wing, and more added proportionately as received. It is useless for me here in this article to state faets to prove that ‘"The Herald”’ and its editor has always from their ad- vent in our midsf been jugt to the con- trary, as, it is too well\tuown for us even to state one instant Y an example, Hence the editor and his paper “‘The Hqrald’’ does not speak for ‘‘allof the people’” and it &onsequently follows that ‘“‘all of the people’” of St. Croix are not looking upon Governor Kittelle or his administration with suspicion as stated by ‘‘The Herald.”’ Dear reader, please do not say that the editor and ‘‘The Herald’” is not guilty of race hatred ard does not teach disrespect for Lawful Authority, for if you do, ““The Herald’’ and its editor will make you ‘ashamed. Do you know thai@@khe very article for which the highly-strung editor is punished for, has in it the es- sence of race hatred? We should rather say not essence, but the pure doctrinal pronouncement on the matter—- for in it—he pointed out that a white defendant was treated differently to himself; which we have heard is not true. Now, IF our highly learned and supersensitive race conscinus editor did know the facts to be eontrary to the way he stated them, is he not teaching race hatred and contempt for Lawful Au- thority?
