GOVERNMENT OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES PUBLIC SERVICES COMMISSION Docket 665 Order No. 26/2018 IN RE: TO OPERATE AS A TELECOMMUNICATIONS ) ) TIER1 ACCESS, LLC PETITION FOR AUTHORIZATION _) ) SERVICES PROVIDER IN U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS ) ) ORDER WHEREAS, on December 18, 2017, Tierl Access, LLC (hereinafter, “Tier1”) filed a Petition with the Virgin Islands Public Services Commission (hereinafter, “PSC” or the “Commission”) for authorization to operate as a telecommunications service provider in the U.S. Virgin Islands; and WHEREAS, on January 25, 2018, the Commission received a report and analysis from its technical consultants, Georgetown Consulting Group, Inc. recommending the approval of Tierl’s Petition with certain conditions; and WHEREAS, on February 28, 2018, the Commission met in regular session at the Port Authority Conference Room located at the Henry Rohlsen Airport on St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands; and WHEREAS, upon review and deliberation the Commission voted APPROVE Tier1’s Petition seeking authority to operate as a telecommunications service provider in the U.S. Virgin Islands; and NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby ORDERED that Tier1’s Petition be APPROVED.
