NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF CONSOLIDATED PLAN
VIRGIN ISLANDS HOUSING FINANCE AUTHORITY NOTICE OF COMMENT PERIOD 2025-2029 FIVE-YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN The Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority (VIHFA) announces that a draft of the Territory’s 2025-2029 Five -Year Consolidated Plan which is being prepared for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is available for public review and comment. The Consolidated Plan will help VIHFA to make data-driven, place-based investment decisions for funding under the CDBG, HOME, ESG, and HTF programs over the next five years to provide decent housing, a suitable living environment, and to create economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons and neighborhoods. The Consolidated Planning Process requires outreach to a wide range of public and private organizations, agencies, and groups to gather input on the housing and community development needs impacting low- and moderate-income people in the Territory. VIRGIN ISLANDS HOUSING FINANCE AUTHORITY NOTICE OF COMMENT PERIOD 2025-2029 FIVE-YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN The Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority (VIHFA) announces that a draft of the Territory’s 2025-2029 Five -Year Consolidated Plan which is being prepared for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is available for public review and comment. Soup Kitchen - St. John $30,000.00 Caribbean Centers for Boys & Girls After-school Program – Christiansted $30,000.00 Virgin Islands Resource Center for the Disabled After-school and Summer Program $30,000.00 Caribbean Centers for Boys & Girls After-school Program – Frederiksted $30,000.00 Wesley Methodist Church After-school Program $30,000.00 Catholic Charities of the V.I. Shelter (Bethlehem House) Reconstruction Project $301,874.80 Catholic Charities of the V.I. Light of Christ (Bethlehem House) Renovation $266,874.80 Our Lady of Mount Carmel Homeless Facility Construction Project, STJ $300,000.00 Women's Coalition of St. Croix Transitional Housing and Facilities Expansion Project $200,000.00 St. Croix Farmers in Action Multipurpose Center Construction Project $165,000.00 CDBG Program Administration $360,937.40 2025 HOME Funding: $796,475.00 Est.
