Title 20, Virgin Islands Code, part II, Chapter 32, subchapter I, section 2 225c is amended by adding a subsection (e) that reads as follows: 3 “(e) A dealer as defined in section 101 in this title is exempt from the requirements 4 of subsection (a) but must present a bill of lading to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles within 5 10 business days of bringing a motor vehicle into the Virgin Islands. …

Title 20, Virgin Islands Code, part II, Chapter 32, subchapter I, section 2 225c is amended by adding a subsection (e) that reads as follows: 3 “(e) A dealer as defined in section 101 in this title is exempt from the requirements 4 of subsection (a) but must present a bill of lading to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles within 5 10 business days of bringing a motor vehicle into the Virgin Islands. Failure of the dealer 6 to comply with this subsection shall subject the dealer to the fine imposed in subsection 7 (c).” 8 BILL SUMMARY 9 This bill exempts dealers from Title 20, Virgin Islands Code, part II, Chapter 32, 10 subchapter I, section 225c, and requires them to show the Bureau of Motor Vehicles proof of a 11 bill of lading within 10 business days. 12 BR23-0902/November 28, 2023/HLF 13
