Winandy, Director of Research State Council of Higher Education far Virginia Robert Marsh, Academic Planning Coordinator Sangamon State University, Illinois U.S. DEPARTMENT Of HEALTH. EDUCATION & WELFARE OFFICE Of EDUCATION THIS DOCUMENT HAS BEEN REPRODUCED EXACTLY AS RECEIVED FROM THE PERSON OR ORGANIZATION ORIGINATING IT. POINTS Of VIEW OR OPINIONS STATED DO NOT NECESSARILY REPRESENT OFFICIAL OFFICE Of EDUCATION POSITION OR POLICY. Association of Executive Officers of Statewide Coordinating Boards With the sponsorship of the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia September, 1969 PERSONNEL IN STATE COORDINATING AGENCIES AND MWTOONS This is the second edition of a comprehert3ive up-to- date directory of profeszional personnel of state higher educa- tion governing or coordinating agencies and State Commissions for the administration of certain federal programs relating to higher education. The directory originated from a need expressed by many persons in the field for names, positions, and functions, counter- part to their own, in other agencies. Persons in federal programs administration for higher education had expressed interest in securing such information, and have encouraged us to continue our effort. With the excellent cooperation of all agencies we are able to provide the following information: 1. Title of Agency 2. Name, title and address of Chief Staff Officer 3. Name, title and function of staff personnel No attempt has been made to classify or describe the coordinating agencies as to control and function with relation to institutions of higher education, except where a brief note of explanation may have been made by a respondent to our questionnaire. We owe many thanks to the officers of these agencies and commissions for their cooperation in making this project a success. A special note of appreciation is due also to the Associa- tion of Executive Officers of Statewide boards of Higher Education for sanctioning the directory artd to the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia for supporting its preparation and dis- tribution.
