January 12 U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has granted clemency to nine individuals, commuting the sentences of four and pardoning five, offering them second chances for personal growth and advancement. These commutations and pardons are effective on Monday, January 12, 2026. Emanuel Greer , 55. Due to his exemplary institutional adjustment, his sentence was commuted to time served. Lester Greenidge , 71. Mr. Greenidge maintained a clean record as well as obtaining numerous certificates of completion. He has been a mentor to his fellow inmates. Governor Bryan has granted him a commutation of his sentence to the years he has already served in payment for his crime. Sholome Akeemo Francis, 39. Throughout his 17-year incarceration, Mr. Francis maintained a clean record as well as obtaining numerous certificates of completion and job skills. His sentence was commuted to 30 years, and as of Monday, January 12, 2026, the remainder of his sentence is suspended. Alston Lambertis, Sr ., 68, maintained a clean record throughout his 43-year incarceration. Governor Bryan has seen fit to grant him a commutation of his sentence to the years he has already served. Governor Bryan pardoned the following individuals for prior offenses: Joseph A. Eastman , 58 Keith Benjamin , 68 Ras Desho Emanuel Afamefuna Joshua a/k/a Larry Emanuel Joshua , 65 Ranold Lionel Jackson , 33 Steven R.
