GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES VIRGIN ISLANDS PUBLIC SERVICES COMMISSION IN RE: PSC Docket No. 289 THE VIRGIN ISLANDS WATER AND Order No. 71/2015 POWER AUTHORITY’S LEVELIZED ENERGY ADJUSTMENT CLAUSE ORDER WHEREAS, on June 30, 2015, the Virgin Islands Public Services Commission (hereinafter “PSC” or Commission”) met in public session in the Commission’s offices on both St. Thomas and St. Croix and heard from the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (hereinafter “WAPA” or “Authority”) and the Commission’s technical consultants in consideration of the Levelized Energy Adjustment Clause (hereinafter ““LEAC”) for the period of July 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015; and WHEREAS, the Commission moved and adopted, with exceptions, the recommendations of the technical consultant, which motion as amended Is issued as PSC Order No. 66/2015; and WHEREAS, on July 27, 2015, WAPA filed a Petition for Reconsideration with the Commission for the July 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015 LEAC factors; and WHEREAS, on August 20, 2015, the Commission met in public session in the Commission’s offices on both St. Thomas and St. Croix and heard from the Authority and the Commission’s technical consultants; and WHEREAS, the Commission has reviewed the Authority’s Petition for Reconsideration, and considered the testimony and the record in this docket; and NOW THEREFORE, the Commission ORDERS that: 1. The Water and Power Authority’s Petition for Reconsideration be granted in the following manner: (a) WAPA is authorized to collect an additional 1.0105 cent per kilowatt/hour charge through the LEAC, for the period of September 1 through December 31, 2015.
