MCKENZIE, conspired with others to obtain property valued in excess of one hundred dollars by false pretenses, to wit: he participated in a fraudulent government-sponsored property-tax auction set up to benefit Paul G. Sabers over other bidders for real property located at 97 Estate Frydenhoj, and committed an overt act in accomplishing this goal by making the highest bid of $75,000 on said property with no intention of placing a deposit thereon or purchasing the property at said price, in violation of V.I.
