June 4 U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – Governor Albert Bryan Jr. is pleased to announce the nomination of the Honorable Ernest E. Morris, Jr. for the position of Superior Court Judge of the Virgin Islands. A respected figure in the legal community and a native of St. Croix, Magistrate Morris is celebrated for his deep commitment to justice and extensive legal expertise. Educated at Yale University and Howard University School of Law, Magistrate Morris has demonstrated academic excellence and professional distinction throughout his career. He has served in various capacities within the legal system, including as a Judicial Law Clerk, President of the Virgin Islands Bar Association, and most recently, as a Magistrate Judge. His participation in the Master of Judicial Studies Program at the University of Nevada further exemplifies his dedication to continuous learning and judicial excellence. Beyond his legal accomplishments, Magistrate Morris has actively contributed to the cultural and social life of the Virgin Islands.
