USVI Tourism & Accommodation 2023 Report
In calendar year 2023, the U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI) experienced a resurgence in tourism after a significant post-pandemic surge. The number of visitors rose by 32.2% to a total of 2.4 million, compared to 1.8 million in 2022. This growth indicates that visitor arrivals have surpassed pre-pandemic levels, as the U.S. Virgin Islands recorded 2.1 million visitors in 2019. Factors contributing to this resurgence include an increase in the frequency of direct flights and the introduction of larger cruise ships.
