Ottley Legislative Hall on St. Thomas. The Committee will receive testimony on Bill No. 36-0247, an act amending title 32 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 2, establishing the Territorial Park Naming Program and creating a uniform process for naming and renaming parks, recreational areas, and facilities owned by the Government of the Virgin Islands. Ottley Legislative Hall on St. Thomas. The Committee will receive testimony on Bill No. 36-0247, an act amending title 32 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 2, establishing the Territorial Park Naming Program and creating a uniform process for naming and renaming parks, recreational areas, and facilities owned by the Government of the Virgin Islands. The legislation was proposed by Senator Marise C. James. The Committee respectfully requests testimony regarding the Department's role in the management of parks and recreational facilities, existing naming practices, any operational or administrative considerations related to the proposed legislation, and recommendations to ensure an effective and transparent naming process throughout the Territory.
