LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS CERTIFICATE OF ENACTMENT NOTWITHSTANDING THE GOVERNOR’S VETO THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT, Bill No. 33-0061, An Act amending title 29, chapter 12, section 705 of the \‘irgin Islands Code relating to the powers of the Economic Development Commission (“EDC”), sections 713a and 713b relating to tax reduction of benefits for EDC beneficiaries, and title 29. chapter 23, section 1308 relating to the Hotel Development Trust Fund, enacted by the Thirty-Third Legislature of the Virgin Islands at its regular session held on September 16, 2019, (a copy of which is attached hereto), and vetoed by the Governor on October 7, 2019, was duly enacted, by override by the Thirty-Third Legislature at its regular session on December 19, 2019, pursuant to section 9(d) of the Revised Organic Act of the Virgin Islands, 48 U.S.C. § 1575 (d), notwithstanding the Governor’s veto and has become law.
