a MTN 7384 BILL NO. 29-0363 TWENTY-NINTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2012 An Act to repeal and reenact with amendments, title 20, chapter 51, subchapter II, of the Virgin Islands Code, to adopt certain parts of the Code of Federal Regulations to comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program --0-- WHEREAS, the Territory is a recipient of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (“FMCSAP”); and WHEREAS, in order to comply with the federal requirements and regulations the Territory must adopt certain parts of the Code of Federal Regulations to be in compliance with the FMCSAP; and WHEREAS, by adopting these regulations, the Territory will be in full compliance with all federal regulations under this program, as amended; and WHEREAS, to ensure proper monitoring of this program, the Virgin Islands Police Department, Office of Highway Safety requires a right of entry onto persons’ property for inspection of vehicles that are regulated by federal and territorial law; and WHEREAS, to accomplish these requirements, amendment of title 20 of the Vi …
