Potter President Thirty-Sixth Legislature of the U.S. Virgin Islands Capitol Building St. Thomas, Virgin Islands 00802 Re: Lease Agreement between the Government of the Virgin Islands, acting through the Department of Property and Procurement and the United States Department of Commerce, National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (“NOAA”). Dear Senate President Potter: Transmitted herewith in accordance are the provisions of Title 31, Section 205, subsection (c), Virgin Islands Code, is the following Lease Agreement submitted for ratification by the Thirty-Sixth Legislature: To lease a portion of the Telecommunications Tower located on Parcel D, Track 1 of Estate Nazareth, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, with the geographic coordinates of Latitude 18, 19, 42.5 and Longitude -64, 51, 33 comprising of: (a) antenna attachment space approximately 120 feet above ground level for mounting a NOAA-owned antenna; (b) shelter floor space of approximately 36 U.S. square feet in an onsite climate-controlled equipment shelter; and (c) standby power. The property will be used for transmission of weather broadcast communications and emergency broadcast communications. ] thank you and the members of the Thirty-Sixth Legislature for your prompt action on this measure.
