They grew up in Oswald Harris Court Projects and later graduated from the Charlotte Amalie High School. From an early age, Theron and Timothy were very much involved in music and dance. It is because of their love for music and dance that they have cultivated and catapulted their craft to new heights. Although impressive on their own, the brothers have contributed their musical talent and songs to numerous Grammy award winning and nominated artists. Their hard work and love for music did not go un-noticed. In 2007, Theron and Timothy signed on with Geffen Records and Akon’s Konlive. They continue to write songs for various artists in the industry. Recently the brother’s single “Locked Away” made it to Number 6 on the Billboard Top 100 Hits Chart and has attained gold and platinum statuses. …

When not in the studio or on tour, Theron and Timothy return home frequently to perform or just to be with family and friends and to enjoy their island home. On behalf of all the people of the Virgin Islands and in recognition of Theron and Timothy Thomas for their outstanding achievements in the music industry and their contributions to the young people of our Virgin Islands, I thank you for being young ambassadors to our Territory. NOW, THEREFORE I, Kenneth E. Mapp, Governor of the Virgin Islands of the United States, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Revised Organic Act of 1954 of the Virgin Islands, as amended, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, September 27, 2016 as “R. City Day”. I urge all residents of this Territory to join me to congratulate and honor these two young brothers for their gift of music and song and their contributions to our community.
