The U.S. Virgin Islands Urban & Community Forestry Council, Inc. will be hosting the 1** annual St. Thomas/St. John “Vv.I. NATIVE TREES AND FLOWERS FAIR” on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in the Emancipation Garden, starting at 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The theme: “Love and Let Live V.I. Native Trees” The Fair’s objective is to build community awareness of the importance of protecting and replanting V.I. native trees; and the role of the urban and community forestry program. The objective is to build community awareness of the importance of protecting and replanting V.I. native trees; and the role of urban and community forestry. The theme this year Fair is “Love and let Live V./. Native Trees’. Local horticultural organizations are invited to participate in this project, such as the St. Thomas Hibiscus Society, St. Thomas/St. John Orchid Society, the Palm, Bougainvillea, and Croton Societies. The St. Croix Bonsai Society is also invited as a special guest. Also, invited to participate are a few farmers, local woodcraftsmen, native tree and fruit seeds artisans, local homemade fruit drinks creators, and a couple of native food vendors to sell their items. Some local plant nurseries from St. Thomas and St. John will participate and have native trees for sale. An application fee is required for every applicant participating according to the requested size of sales space. A table space is $20; a 10 X 10 tent is $40. anda 20x10 tent is $60. Francis, Chairman) 1* Annual St. Thomas/St. John VI Native Trees and Flowers Fair 1- APPLICATION for ALL FAIR PARTICIPANTS — GENERAL RULES of AGREEMENT An application fee is required of every applicant according to the requested size of sales space. Please return fee and this completed form to the U.S. Virgin Islands Urban & Community Forestry Council. “Only MONEY ORDERS or CASH will be accepted!” Applications received after Friday, June 2, 2017 will be subject to $10 late charge if space is available. Tents may be erected after 4:00 pm on the Friday before the Fair on Saturday, at your own risk (of weather damage or theft). All tents, tables or booth vendors must set-up by 8:00 am sharp on Fair day. All decorations and exhibits must be in good taste and confined to the allotted space. All participants must provide their own canopy type tent, tables, chairs and tarpaulin tops. ABSOLUTELY NO VEHICLES will be allowed in the display area during the fair. Tent vendors who arrive after 9:00 a.m. must hand-carry thelr goods to their space. ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOLIC PRODUCTS WILL BE ALLOWED OR SOLD ON THE PREMISES. THE PROMOTION, SALE and DISTRIBUTION OF ALL DRUGS AND RELATED PARAPHERNALIA ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED. All items displayed or sold must be agriculturally related or reflect our traditional arts and crafts, including t-shirts, jewelry, perfumes, toys, books, etc. Violators will be expelled immediately from the fair. Applicants will meet with members of the fair organizing committee on Thursday, June 1", 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the TBA. THIS MEETING IS MANDATORY.
