ACTNO. 6868 BILL NO. 26-0163 TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2006 An Act repealing title 12 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 19 to enact the Pesticide Control Act of 2006 ---0)--- WHEREAS, the functions vested in the Commissioner by this chapter may be delegated by him to such employees of the Department or agents that he may from time to time designate. The purpose of this chapter is to regulate the registration, commercial use, purchase and custom application of pesticides. Pesticides, properly used for the control of insects, fungi, weeds and nematodes, and as defoliants, desiccants, and plant regulators and for related purposes, are valuable, important and necessary to the welfare, health, economic well-being and productive and industrial capabilities of the people of the Virgin Islands. …
