ACTNO, 7596 BILL NO. 30-0279 THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2014 An Act amending title 27 Virgin Islands Code adding chapter 5A pertaining to public accountancy and bringing Virgin Islands law into compliance with the provisions recommended by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy in conjunction with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virgin Islands Board of Public Accountancy and repealing title 27 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 5 -0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. This Act may be cited as “The Public Accountancy Act of 2014”. SECTION 2. The Legislature finds that it is the policy of this Territory, and the purpose of this Act, to promote the reliability of information that is used for guidance in financial transactions or for accounting for or assessing the financial status or performance of commercial, noncommercial, and governmental enterprises. …
