ACTNO. 7088 BILL NO. 28-0037 TWENTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2009 An Act amending title 3 VIC, chapter 25, section 583b transfer the administration duties of Donated Leave Program to the Department of Personnel and for other purposes Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 3 Virgin Island Code, chapter 25, section 583b is amended as follows: 1. Subsection (a) is amended at the end of paragraph (3) after “off” by inserting “while absent on approved sick leave”; 2. Subsections (b) and (c) are amended by striking “Commissioner of Finance” wherever it appears and inserting “Director of the Division of Personnel”; 3. Subsection (c) is further amended by renumbering paragraph (2) as paragraph (3) and inserting a new Paragraph (2) that reads: “(2) The Director of Personnel shall approve a leave request within 10 business days after the leave donor has complied with the requirements in paragraph (1)”.
