THE VIRGIN ISLANDS POLICE DEPARTMENT “To Protect and Serve” Office of the Commissioner AAF Justice Complex, 5400 Veterans Drive St. Thomas, 00802 * (340) 774-2211 Administrative Services Building 45 Mars Hill, Frederiksted St. Croix, 00840 * (340) 778-2211 www.vipd.vi.gov VIPD NEWS RELEASE - 101023-326 For Immediate Media Distribution Suspect in Kmart Robbery on St. Croix Apprehended and Found with Pellet Gun St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On October 10, 2023, at approximately 10:20 a.m., the manager of Kmart in Sunny Isles reported to 911 Emergency Call Center that he and other employees were robbed at gun point by a male who fled the store with merchandise. The suspect was followed and observed entering the Champs Sports store where he was found by police officers and apprehended with no incident. The suspect was found in possession of stolen goods and a pellet handgun. Mr. Kevik E. David, age 37, was booked and unable to post bail which was set at $75,000.00. He was charged with Robbery in the First Degree. …

David was transported to the John Bell Adult Correctional Facility, where he was remanded pending his Advice of Rights Hearing on Wednesday October 12, 2023, at the Superior Court. ###
