WYuring the Danish administra- tion ithere were fewer officers on the police force, and the rank of police- sergeant (overpolice) was represented only at Christiansted, Kingshill, and St. Thomas Nevertheless such a position was created and conferred on our oldrriend at Frederiksted {.rlong and faithful service, as well as through his having deeclined offers of the same 'positicn-at Kingshill. In 1907 Mr. Larsen left the police foree and accepted the position as Inspector of the Hospital which post he filled until some time afier the change of flag.
