Bth.—Mr. Hughes, Pre- mier of Australia, on SBaturday unveiled a bronze statue of Mr. Lloyd George at Carnarvon, Wales. Mr. Hughes said the statue, which was the gift of the Mayor of the City, enshrined the spirit and genius of the Welsh race. The statue was nine feet high and depicts the Premier in characteristic oratorial atti- tude with uplifted hand.
