Inquiry into the Barrow deportation case was made vesterday and the interrogation of Judge Payne was vary interesting. The faets adduced are what the pub- lic had been desirous of learning for some time. Other heirings gave rise to much irrelevancy and waste of the commission’s time and it is hoped that those who wish to be heard wou'd appre- ciate the business for which these gentle- men are here and not burden them ani the listeners with their pri ate squab- bles. Thomas and S:. John, vour iavita- tion to sit in joint extraordinary session with the Colonial Coun-il of St. Croix. at 2 P. M., Thursday, February 7, 1924, for the purpose of jointly considering the two identical resolutions; the sne in this Munieipality havine been previously un- animously adopted by the Municipal Committee of the Municipality of S, Themas and St. Jobn. The Chatrman of the Colonial Couneil of the Municipality of St. Thomas and St. John has signified his acceptance of this Invitation, and has notitied all members of the Colonial Council of this Municipality. The U. 8. S. Grebe will sail for Christiansted at 7:45 A. M., Feb- ruary 7, 1924, for this purpose.
