The budget was the chief subject of discus- sion, and resolution, spoken of before the neeting, to have the law prohibiting the sale of beer and light wines in St. Croix repealed, was introduced, but re- called. The mee.ing terminated about three o’clock. The Red Glove came to an end at the theatre last night and its admirers were very much infatuated with the captivat- ing conclusion. It is hoped the manage- ment of the theatre will find it possible to secure a not less attractive serial in the near future. Ome of Pathe’s specialties is sure to take. We congratulate Bandsman, Mr. Ja- cob Williams, and wife, to whom a baby girl was born last night. The General Superintendent at St. Thomas of the West India and Panama Telegrapb Co., Ltd.., Mr. M. Petit, paid a visit to the St. Croix station last Saturday and it was our pleasure to have an inter- view with him.
