She reportsa strike of longshoremen in San Juan, which prevented her load- ing cargo for this island. So far she was able to bring about 40 small pack- ages and these, she claims, were loaded by strike breakers witl the aid of the police. She brought the following pas- sengers from Porto Rico: Andreas Mar- cus, Clement J. Christian, Christian Joseph. The Edilor [St Croiz Anms' Dear Sir:— 1 am pleased to see that a Public Meeting has been calied to consider the question of one or two judges for these islands, a question which is of vital im- portance to the ~eople, as the matter also involves the question of an Appeal Court in the Virgin Islands as recomme<nded by the Congressional Committee, and I therefore beg to recommend that the inhabitants attend as largely as possible in order to support the recommendations of the Congressional Committee and in protest of the acticns taken by the Colo- nial Council in the matter, against the wishes of the People.
