ACT NO.64¥2 BILL NO 25-0054 TWENTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Special Session 2003 To amend title 29, Virgin Islands Code, chapter 1, section 32, to authorize the dissolution of the current Board of Commissioners of the Virgin Islands Housing Authority and to appoint an interim board -_--0--- WHEREAS, the operation of the Virgin Islands Housing Authority has reached a critical stage: and WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has asked the Virgin 1slands Housing Authority to accept voluntary receivership: and WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has expressed its lack of confidence in the current Commissioners of the Virgin Islands Housing, Authority and is of the opinion that the current Board of Commissioners is sneffective and is not capable of rectifying the problems within the Virgin Islands Housing Authority; Now Therefore, BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. …
