This status report includes the work performed during the period March 1 through March 31, 1994. WORK COMPLETED DURING PREVIOUS MONTH Earth Change Permit STT 147-94 was obtained from U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) for the Phase II monitoring well installations. Individual well permits for each monitoring well are now also required by DPNR. Geraghty & Miller has submitted applications for each monitoring well, except Monitoring Wells MW-20 and MW-20D, pending access approval from Tracy Dodd. …

This status report includes the work performed during the period March 1 through March 31, 1994. WORK COMPLETED DURING PREVIOUS MONTH Earth Change Permit STT 147-94 was obtained from U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) for the Phase II monitoring well installations. A review was begun of database output for completeness and consistency with the Phase II Data Compilation Report and Work Plan (Geraghty & Miller 1993). The contract with driller was executed. Mobilization for Phase II fieldwork was completed during die week of March 21, 1994. The soil-gas surveys at Virgin Islands Housing Authority (VIHA) and the Curriculum Center were performed. Draft letter reports were distributed to the Potentially Responsible Parties (PRPs) for review. A letter report was submitted to Ms. Caroline Kwan dated March 22, 1994 of soil-gas survey results at VIHA and Curriculum Center. A site-specific health and safety orientation was given on March 23, 1994 to field personnel at the Tutu Wells Site. Drilling activities began on March 25, 1994. Through March 31, 1994 the following drilling work had been performed: Soil Boring/Sampling Monitoring Wells MW-15, MW-17, MW-18, MW-24, and MW-25 Monitoring Well Installation Monitoring Wells MW-17, MW-15 A meeting on March 24, 1994 with the USEPA and DPNR was attended by representatives of the TEIC, the PRP Committee, and Geraghty & Miller. Site inspections at VIHA and the Curriculum Center were performed. Other site inspections were not performed in March, pending site access agreement (SAA) approvals. The status of the Phase n RI schedule was revised due to delays caused by site access and driller mobilization. WORK TO BE COMPLETED DURING NEXT MONTH Work to be completed during the month of April 1994 will include: • Continued Phase II drilling activities, including completion of soil sampling. • Coordination of access and logistics for pumpage impact monitoring.
