COMMITTEE ON BUDGET, APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE BILL NO. 36-0093 Thirty-Sixth Legislature of the Virgin Islands May 19, 2025 An act appropriating $1,500,000 from the General Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin Islands to the Virgin Islands Diabetes Center of Excellence for staffing and operations within the Territory PROPOSED BY: Senator Ray Fonseca Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 1 SECTION 1. (a) The sum of $1,500,000 is appropriated in the fiscal year ending 2 September 30, 2026, from the General Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin 3 Islands to the Virgin Islands Diabetes Center of Excellence for staffing and operations in the 4 Territory. 5 (b) The sum appropriated in subsection (a) remains available until expended. 6 BILL SUMMARY 7 This bill provides an appropriation from the General Fund of the Treasury of the 8 Government of the Virgin Islands to the Virgin Islands Diabetes Center of Excellence for 9 staffing and operations in the Territory. 10 BR25-0621/May 9, 2025/LMW/Revised by AWC Jr. 11
