BILL NO. 33-0238 THIRTY-THIRD LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2019 An Act amending Act No. 8215 by striking Section 6(b)(l), which provided that funds appropriated for outstanding employer’s contribution would be available until September 30, 2020, amending Act No. 8123 by decreasing the amount appropriated for outstanding employer’s contribution to the GERS and by amending Act No. 8123 by adding an appropriation to fund the increased employer’s contribution for the time period of January 1, 2020, through September 30, 2020 ---0--- Be it enacted by the LegLclature ofthe Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Act No. 8215, Section 6(b)(l) is stricken in its entirety. SECTON 2. Act No. 8123, Section 2, “M1436 GERS- Outstanding Employer’s Contribution $19,000,000”, is amended by striking “$19,000,000” and by inserting “SI 1,750,000, to remain available until September 30, 2020” SECTION 3. Act No. 8123, Section 2, “NEW GERS- 3% Increase to Employer’s Contribution” is amended by inserting “January 1, 2020, to September 30, 2020 - $7,250,000” afier “Contribution”. …
