ACTNO. 7696 BILL NO. 30-0487 THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2014 An Act amending title 33 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 12, section 530 to exempt certain electronic equipment from customs duties —0-— Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 33 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 12, section 530 is amended by striking all of the language in subsection (a) and inserting new language that reads as follows: “The following articles may be imported into the Virgin Islands for use and consumption in the Virgin islands free of the payment of customs duties: (1) computers and computerware including, hard drives, keyboards, control/adapter units and batteries, portable computer hard drives; (2) electronic tablet computers; (3) portable music players; cell phones; cell phone and tablet accessories; headphones; (7) acoustical speakers; (8) cameras (including digital and photographic); and (9) removable memory cards, electronic flash memory data storage devices and/or universal serial bus (USB) flash memory drives, used for storing digital info …
